  Indications:  Treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to clindamycin such as Bacteroides fragilis and Staphylococcus aureus, and especially in patients allergic to penicillin, clindamycin is used in the following cases:
  
  - Prevention of endocarditis or infection due to surgical implants
  
  - Aspiration pneumonia and lung abscess, severe respiratory tract infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus and Pneumonoccus
  
  - Intra-abdominal infections such as peritonitis and intra-abdominal abscess
  
  - Suppurative wound infections (surgical or traumatic)
  
  - Sepsis

  - Gynecological infections: endometritis, non-gonococcal tubo-ovarian abscess, pelvic cellulitis, post-operative vaginal cuff infection due to anaerobic bacteria
  
  - Penetrating eye trauma
  
  - Gas gangrene
  
  Contraindications: Patients who are sensitive to clindamycin or any ingredient of the drug. Patients with severe diarrhea.
